Welcome to Animalreen
Your friendly guide to animals, wildlife, and the natural world.
Who We Are
Animalreen is an educational website about animals, wildlife, and nature, created for curious people who want to understand the living world a little better. Whether you are a student, a pet owner, a nature lover, a traveller planning a trip to see wildlife, or simply someone who enjoys learning something new, Animalreen is written with you in mind.
We believe that animals are some of the most fascinating teachers on Earth. A snow leopard moving silently across a mountain slope, a honeybee dancing to share directions to a flower patch, a mother elephant comforting her calf, or a tiny gecko on a garden wall: every one of these creatures has a story. Our mission is to tell those stories clearly, accurately, and warmly, so that anyone can enjoy them, whatever their background or level of knowledge.
Our website is hosted at animalreen.gotravellyinfo.com, and everything we publish is meant to inform, inspire, and encourage respect for wildlife and the places they live.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to make the animal world easy to understand and impossible not to love.
We want to:
- Explain animal behaviour, biology, and ecology in plain, beginner-friendly language
- Share the beauty and diversity of wildlife from around the world, including our own region
- Highlight conservation challenges and show practical ways that ordinary people can help
- Encourage responsible, ethical ways of watching, photographing, and interacting with animals
- Support curiosity, wonder, and respect for all living things
We do not believe that learning about nature should feel complicated or intimidating. You do not need a science degree to enjoy a good wildlife story, and you should never feel embarrassed for asking a basic question. Everyone starts somewhere, and we are happy to help you take your first steps.
What You Will Find on Animalreen
Our articles cover a wide range of topics. Some of the themes you will find on the website include:
Wildlife profiles. Detailed but easy-to-read introductions to individual species, such as big cats, primates, birds, reptiles, marine animals, and rainforest creatures. We explain how they live, what they eat, where they are found, and why they matter.
Animal behaviour and science. Answers to questions such as how animals communicate, whether they have emotions, how predators and prey outsmart one another, and how animals survive extreme seasons through hibernation and other strategies.
Wildlife of Pakistan and South Asia. From the high mountains of the north to the Indus River and the coast, we like to shine a light on the remarkable animals that share our region, many of which are rarely discussed in popular media.
Conservation and environment. Straightforward explanations of the threats facing wildlife, including habitat loss, climate change, and illegal trade, along with the stories of people working to protect nature.
Wildlife travel and watching. Guides to safari destinations, national parks, and responsible wildlife watching, so that you can plan trips that are enjoyable for you and kind to the animals.
Beginner guides and myth-busting. Simple primers and fact-checks that clear up common misunderstandings about animals, from the “evil” reputation of predators to the myths surrounding piranhas or snakes.
We are always expanding our library, and we plan to keep adding new topics based on what our readers want to learn.
Why We Started Animalreen
Many people are fascinated by animals but find that the information available online is either too technical, too shallow, or simply inaccurate. Some articles are filled with exaggerated claims; others are written in a way that only experts can follow. We wanted to create something in between: a place where accurate information and friendly storytelling go hand in hand.
We were also inspired by the natural heritage of our own region. Pakistan is home to extraordinary wildlife, from snow leopards, markhor, and Himalayan brown bears to Indus river dolphins, migratory cranes, and sea turtles. Yet many people know more about animals in faraway countries than about the creatures living in their own backyard. We hope Animalreen can help change that, by making local and global wildlife equally accessible and exciting.
Our Values
Every article we publish is guided by a handful of core values.
Accuracy and honesty
We do our best to provide information that is correct and up to date. We rely on reputable sources, such as scientific studies, conservation organisations, and recognised wildlife authorities, and we try to explain things in our own words. Where scientists disagree or the evidence is still developing, we say so rather than pretending that everything is settled. When we make a mistake, we want to correct it quickly and openly.
Clarity and accessibility
We write for general readers and beginners. That means using simple language, explaining technical terms, and avoiding unnecessary jargon. Good information should be easy to understand.
Respect for animals
We treat animals as living beings with their own needs, behaviours, and, in many cases, emotional lives. We do not promote activities that harm wildlife or treat animals as entertainment, such as cub petting, forced interactions, or the illegal wildlife trade.
Support for conservation
Protecting wildlife is a shared responsibility. We aim to highlight the threats animals face and the practical steps that readers can take, from simple everyday choices to supporting trusted conservation efforts.
Kindness and inclusion
We want our community to feel welcoming. Readers of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels are invited to learn, ask questions, and share their stories. We keep our tone supportive and positive, and we respect different viewpoints.
How We Create Our Content
We want you to feel confident in what you read on Animalreen, so here is a short look at how we work.
- Choosing topics. We pick subjects that are interesting, useful, and relevant to our readers, including popular questions and lesser-known stories.
- Researching. We gather information from reliable sources, such as scientific research, conservation groups, and wildlife authorities, and compare different sources where possible.
- Writing in plain language. We turn complex information into clear explanations and examples that general readers can enjoy.
- Reviewing. We check our articles for accuracy, clarity, and tone before publishing.
- Updating. Nature and science change. When important new information appears, we aim to review and update our articles.
Please remember that Animalreen is an educational resource and not a substitute for professional advice. If you have questions about your pet’s health, for example, you should always speak with a qualified veterinarian. For more detail, see our Disclaimer page.
Our Commitment to Responsible Wildlife Content
Online content about animals sometimes encourages behaviour that is bad for wildlife, such as getting too close, feeding wild animals, or sharing the exact locations of rare species. We try to do the opposite. In our articles, we encourage readers to:
- Keep a safe and respectful distance from wild animals
- Never feed or handle wildlife
- Choose ethical tour operators and local guides
- Leave natural places as they found them
- Report illegal wildlife activity to the proper authorities
When we discuss rare or vulnerable species, we are careful not to reveal information that could put them at risk.

Animalreen is for everyone who feels a spark of curiosity when they see an animal. In particular, we hope to be useful to:

Advertising, Affiliates, and Transparency
To cover the costs of running the website, Animalreen may display advertisements or include affiliate links to products and services. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only aim to recommend products and services that we believe may be useful to our readers, and advertising never changes our commitment to honest, independent information. You can read more about how we handle these matters in our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.
Join Our Community
Animalreen is more than a website; we hope it becomes a small community of people who care about animals. Here is how you can be part of it:

What’s Next for Animalreen
We are only getting started. In the future, we hope to expand our library with more wildlife profiles, regional guides, conservation stories, and beginner-friendly explainers. We would also like to feature more content about the animals of Pakistan and South Asia, and to develop resources that are helpful to students and teachers. Your feedback will guide us.
